Sharing Good News

Yesterday was a big day for my students of the previous batch as they received their examination results. Most of them were so happy and satisfied with the results, and so do I. 💃💃Their efforts paid off, burning the midnight oils was really worth it. My Module 1 class scored highest of all classes. 15 out 21 of them got A solid for Physics. As the lecturer who taught them for 1 whole semester , I'm elated with this good news.

It maybe sounds a bit arrogant, but I personally do not want to deny my own effort towards my students' achievement.🙈 Despite of my hectic timetable of my life, I managed to arrange extra session for my weak students. It is demanding as they really need favor on strengthening their content knowledge. It was quite a struggle for me to juggle with all responsibilities I have, the master assignments, work stuffs and non-stop things to do list, my children and also the charity work.

Apart from the consultation, I believe that the method I used in teaching has also contributed to my students' development in their learning. I'm so grateful that I pursue my master in Physics education as it helped me a lot throughout developing my skills, content and pedagogical knowledge in Physics. You can read through few latest entries in this blog which I shared a lot on the reflection of the things I learnt during my master course. Upon receiving those new knowledge and skill, I feel sooo motivated every time I enter my lesson nowadays, feels like to apply everything I learned especially from the Technology and Innovation in Teaching & Learning subject. Yes! Everything!Hope I can keep it up!

I'm a happy teacher😻

Concept Mapping

Salam 'alaik,  InshaAllah, today I would like to share about what I've been learning from my Master course that is CONCEPT MAPPING. We did it practically during the lesson, not just learning it by theory. This hands on experience really intrigued me.  Concept Mapping is a verb.  It is  a way to connect the knowledge of certain topics based on its concepts while Concept Map is a noun where  it is a type of graphic organizer used to help students organize and represent knowledge of a subject.  Concept maps  begin with a main idea (or c oncept ) and then branch out to show how that the ideas are connected to the other ideas. In order to link the concepts, we need to start a sentence by a quantity and end it also by a quantity.  Our lecturer, Dr NurulHuda had introduced a website  where we able to apply doing concept map. We practiced using this software by applying 2 topics. The first concept map is for the States of Matter and the ...

Electric Potential

Electric Potential, V If Ali wants to move his charge towards the charged sphere on the left, he has to push against the repulsive force between the two spheres (because both are positively charged) Ali is actually doing work (when he push) , Remember W= f.s  ! At the same time, Ali's charge gains electric potential energy . If Ali let go his charge, it will move away from the sphere, it looses electric potential energy. The  electric potential  at a point is telling us the  potential energy of each coulomb of charge . When you move a charge in an electric field its potential energy changes. This is analogous to moving a mass in a gravitational field. Electric potential is a scalar quantity. Thank you, Mdm Ummi Atiah KMPk ~  May it Benefits You ➽💕

Smart Classroom

Assalamualaikum & Hi everyone! The first time I enter a classroom for my technology & innovation in physics course in university, it intrigued  me. The classroom is facilitated with devices which hence called as smart classroom. Here I attach several snaps of the view of it, also featuring my lovely course mates & lecturer :) Smart Wall , Smart TV & Dr Nurul Smart Wall & Smart TV + Farah & me 💙 Smart Wall & Smart TV + Roza(from Aceh) & me 💙 Smart Classroom + K. Kamalia & Mira 💙 The idea of this classroom beautiful! The walls are painted at particular area which provides unlimited spaces for teachers to scribble on. It reminds me of how I always advise my students to have separate answer sheet every time they work on the worksheet. They are forbidden to write their answer or ideas for the answer near the question as they kind of limit their thoughts.  My reason is always be that the more space we have, the greater th...
